Background:
Harry Potter is one of the most recognisable brands in the world today. Originally released in June 1997, the fantasy novels have evolved into a global phenomenon, expanding to include multiple books, films, video games, and an extensive range of merchandise. The series has an enthusiastic and devoted fanbase spanning multiple generations. Having contributed to several Harry Potter projects over the years, we were once again invited to collaborate with Warner Bros. on a large-scale, multi-element fit out for an experiential retail visitor attraction in Tokyo.
The 13,000 sq. ft. Studio Tour Store in Tokyo, Japan, is the largest Harry Potter store in the world. The retail space features 11 themed areas, each inspired by the magical Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Each section boasts its own distinct design, incorporating intricate details that capture and embody this iconic brand. Ensuring the essence of this project was authentically realised was a top priority for our team of designers, carpenters and spray finishers.
